Marina M. Richards, M.D. is a board certified physician dedicated to helping her patients achieve optimal health and longevity. Her approach is based on combining the latest advances of scientific western medicine with complementary healing modalities.
Dr. Richards says
“As a primary care physician I am well aware of undeniable strengths of Western medicine. I am also aware of its limitations in the management of many common, especially chronic conditions. Through my experience as a physician practicing integrative medicine I find that complementary treatments provide greater healing benefits for my patients than conventional medicine alone.”
Dr. Richards completed residency training in Internal Medicine at Montefiore Medical Center, the University Hospital of Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Currently she is an attending physician at New York Presbyterian Hospital and instructor in clinical medicine at the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Columbia University. She is a physician on the team of Columbia University Headache Center.
She is one of the first physicians who introduced acupuncture and changed its perception in the medical community by teaching an annual course on the scientific basis and clinical application of acupuncture at Columbia University. She has served as a consultant on International Women’s Health at the United Nations.
Dr. Marina Richards is recognized as one of America’s top physicians by the Consumers’ Research Council of America. She received The Patients’ Choice Award for New York three years in a row.
